Christian Duty
What is a Christian’s duty in today’s upside-down world? Many seem to believe that the Christian has no duties at all. Salvation is free and without price they say. This is true but God does ask, merely ask mind you, something:
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. and be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:1,2)
God asks a great deal of his true followers here:
- We are not to be conformed to this world.
- We should Sacrifice/Dedicate our lives to God’s service
- He says that this is a reasonable requestand is acceptable to God.
Do you believe you are a born-again child of God? Do you expect to live forever in heaven with God and other believers? If your answer is yes, how do you think you measure up to what God asks? How often do you share your faith with unbelievers? How many times, say in the last year, have you done so?
Is this really a reasonable request or is it too much to ask (God merely asks!) in return for the priceless gift of eternal life in heaven? Who could deny God this simple easy-to-do request? The answer is, only an unbeliever, only someone that does not have the Holy Spirit within could refuse such a simple request.
Sadly, many do refuse and go to Hell instead of Heaven when they die. They refuse this incomparable gift because they have been blinded by Satan and cannot even see, much less believe, God’s truth. Many refuse to even believe that God exists.
Why does God ask this of all His true believers? It is because His desire is that everyone would believe and go to Heaven when they die. Heaven though, is a perfect place, a place without sin and which unforgiven sinners may not enter. Since we are all born in sin, only those that have been born-again can enter God’s Heaven.
What does this mean? How can a person be born a second time? Jesus was asked this question 2000 years ago. Here is the answer He gave:
“There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Yes, God sent his only begotten son to die on a cruel cross that sinners worthy of death might have life, eternal life instead of death. Yes, all they need to do is believe, just believe and receive the free gift of eternal life. Everyone though, on their own, refuses this precious gift. Only those that God chose in eternity past and freed from Satan’s terrible bondage accept this absolutely free gift. All others do not tuly believe and therefore receive eternal death in Hell instead of eternal life in Heaven.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved”. (John 3:1-17)
Where are you dear reader, do you choose eternal life or the pleasures of this short life for a season followed by eternity in the pit of Hell? The choice is yours and God is waiting for your answer. It cannot be just a wish but must come from your heart and be reflected in the in the life you live.
Civil War
Why do nations divide and start to fight internal wars? Often wars are started by wealthy and powerful men that wish to become yet more wealthy and more powerful. One often wonders why this is so. Why can’t the rich be satisfied with the great wealth they already have? Why, when they have so much must they so often seek more and yet more?
In America, it was six very wealthy men who pushed the recently liberated nation into a war against itself.[1] Their motives were power and personal profit. The southern farmers could sell their cotton to England at a higher price than they could get from these northern manufacturers. These evil men used the misled anti-slavery sympathy promoted by silly women for their own nefarious purposes. These well-meaning ladies did not understand the real need for temporary slavery in the South. Instead of thinking through and studying the real situation, they reacted emotionally and helped lead the country into a war against itself. Sadly, the combination of six evil men and many foolish women led the country into an unnecessary and highly damaging Civil War, one America would never fully recover from.
What, though, was the underlying cause? It was not slavery. It was greed on the part of a few and biblical ignorance on the part of many. It was also a lack of godliness on the part of all. Our nation cannot survive without faith in God. Much of its earlier faith is already gone. What we need today is a widespread revival of the Christian faith. This is our only hope for a real and true recovery.
In other words, what we need to do is trust God. When we did so there was peace and prosperity. But we lost it. Why did we lose it? We lost our faith because we didn’t continue to obey God. Instead of studying His word as we know we should have done, we neglected that study and thought that church on Sunday would be sufficient; but it really isn’t. We need to study God’s word every day not just on Sunday. When we fail to do so, this is the penalty for our neglect. When we turn our backs to God, He turns His back to us and everything seems to go wrong.
Why do we keep doing this? Why do we keep forgetting God? When will we learn that we can’t go through life without God? We need to put our trust in Him every minute of every day. The disaster that our lives have become in recent years is simply due to our failure to trust God as we once did.
This failure is nothing new, it’s been going on for over a century and has been getting progressively worse for several decades now. it seems that God’s people keep forgetting God. We are emulating the ancient Israelites who repeatedly turned their backs on their God. It is because we are born in sin and never really and truly turn to God. We remember and seek him when we need him and then forget about him once again. How do we break free from this terrible on and off cycle?
The only answer is to stop our reliance on churches. Instead of just church on Sunday, we must return to the modality of the early Christian Ecclesia Communities. These consisted of family groupings of perhaps ten to twelve families that lived close together and communed with each other at different levels daily. The focus and intent of all were to gain an in-depth understanding of God’s word and His Will for us, His grateful servants.

Saved By Grace
Will the God that created all things judge His wayward people? Will He hold us responsible for all our many misdeeds? We, His creatures are all too often inconsistent in our faith and obedience to God. He has great patience with us but we make so little progress. and all too often, it is regress rather than progress in our faith.
As we shrink back from full obedience to God it becomes easier and easier to neglect the responsibility, He has given us. There is an unbelieving world out there, all around us. God has given us the gift of faith that results in eternal life. It is the greatest gift anyone could ever receive and yet we fail to communicate it to others as He requests us to do.
Is our faith true or is it false? Are we true or are we false believers? We may feel it is true but our lack of action seems to say otherwise. How can we truly believe we have received the greatest of all possible gifts and still fail to communicate this free gift to others, as the Giver of the gift asks us? There is something seriously wrong with such a faith. Do we just hope that it is true? Is that all that our faith consists of? If so, could we be sadly mistaken? Is it only a wish, an unsubstantiated wish, and not true faith after all?
Faith, true faith, is a gift of God:
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:8-10)
We are “His workmanship”: He chooses us! We chose Him only after Christ first chose us and sent The Holy Spirit to live within us! Why is this so? I distinctly remember making the decision myself: I chose Him! Yes, you did but if your faith is real and true, your choice came only after He first chose you. Actually, He chose all who will truly believe in Him before He made the world!
Why is this so important? It is so very important because so many are lost but believe they are saved because they made a choice a while ago. Contrary to this teaching, we are not saved and will live forever by making a choice. We are saved because God chose us long ago and sent His Holy Spirit to live within us. Sadly, many pastors and preachers fail to explain these truths carefully. They want to believe that every convert is a true convert and often fail to question sufficiently.
As a result, there are many in today’s churches that think they will go to heaven when they die but are sadly mistaken. It is very, very important to make sure that your faith is true and sure. Going to church is insufficient. There are many regular churchgoers that will be sadly mistaken when their time comes and they find themselves in Hell’s fire, instead of heaven.
The key to true assurance ls to see a true and very pronounced change in your life, a point at which your interests shifted abruptly, a point when obeying God became all important. If this fits your life, welcome to the Body of Christ. If not, don’t despair; seek Him with all your heart and you will surely find Him and will be saved by His grace. What, indeed could be more important than eternal life in Heaven?
Personality
When does a fetus become a person? The answer is that it never becomes a person. It is a person from the moment it comes into existence. We could say it is a person in his or her earliest stages of development but there is no point at which there is a change and it becomes something other than what it was to begin with, a person, a human being.
Some people, wanting to justify abortion, try to do so by claiming that a fetus is not a person until sometime well after the sexual act. The time to initiate the irreversible formation of a new person within the mother is at most a few seconds. It is the time for the chromosomes of the parents to divide, combine and form the new chromosome that is the child; a few seconds, minutes at most and a new person is created. The new boy or girl has all the information within itself to form the child that will, barring an act of murder called an abortion, come into the world in a few months.
Yes, despite whatever you may have been told to the contrary, an abortion at any stage of pregnancy is an act of murder. It is the murder of a helpless infant by, or by the consent of, the child’s mother. It is a gross violation of God’s Seventh Commandment: “Thou Shalt Not Kill”. It is a ticket to spend eternity with other murderers and criminals in the Lake of Fire called Hell.
Yes, there really is such a place as Hell. God’s Word tells us so:
And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. (Luke 12: 4,5)
Yes, it is the infinite, eternal, omnipotent God that created all things and controls all of life and death in this world. Do you, dear reader, believe in Him? Have you placed your trust in Him? Will you go to heaven and be with all other true believers when your time in this world comes to an end? These, contrary to what you may have been told and you may believe, are not foolish or idle questions. This life is not all there is. There is an eternity that follows this life. When your body dies, the person that is you lives on. It does not change but merely leaves your body and goes somewhere else. It goes to Heaven or Hell, eternal blissful life or eternally painful death. These are the only options open to everyone in this world today.
Is it possible for anyone to really know for sure whether they will go to Heaven or Hell when they die? I have such assurance but perhaps only because I was very much anti-God in my youth and can now see a very clear demarcation point, a point at which God in His great mercy changed my foolish heart, as He did of so many others.
Do you see such a definite point of change in your life? Was there a point at which you could clearly see that there is more to life than just this world, that there truly is a Heaven and a Hell? Have your interests really changed at that point, and do you feel you have become a new person? If so, you may well be a true child of God. As such, you will never truly die but will only exchange your current body for another one. Your new spiritual body will be very different from your present physical body.
God, speaking to His creatures in His Eternal Word, says:
35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up and with what body do they come? Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: 37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: 38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. 40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
We see from this passage that our current bodies do not go to Heaven (or Hell) when we die. They return to the earth from whence they came. We receive new bodies, spiritual bodies that are appropriate for the new environment. The heavenly body will be glorious and very different from today’s bodies.
The passage goes on to say:
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven. 48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
The apostle Paul explains here that there are two kinds of bodies, the earthly and the heavenly. We, the spirits within us that are us, now live in earthly bodies, bodies suitable for life in this world. When we die or when this world comes to an end, the spirit within each of us moves into a new body. It will be a spiritual, not a physical, body. We will then be capable of living in a new environment, one outside of and very different from this world.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.” (1 Corinthians 15:35-53)
Here we are told that our present bodies cannot enter God’s Kingdom and must first be changed. Nor can our corrupt bodies become incorrupt. In an instant of time, the dead will be raised and all will be changed. Both the living and the dead will receive new incorruptible, spiritual bodies that will never die. At the end of the world, all the dead are raised and both the dead and the living are given new bodies.
This is the future both believers and unbelievers can look forward to, one to eternal life in Heaven and the other to eternal death in Hell.
To return to the question asked above: Where, dear reader, do you fit in these alternative scenarios? Is your eternal future to be spent in Heaven or in Hell? Please don’t just push it aside. It is a very real and very pertinent question. Eternity is forever!
The Choice
Who chooses who? Do we choose God or does God choose us? God’s Word tells us that God wrote the names of all that will believe in Him in His book before He made the worlds (Hebrews 1:2). It says also that faith in God is a gift of God (Ephesians 2:8). No one, including you dear reader, chooses God until he receives this gift of faith. It can come at a very early age, even so early that the person can truly say that he or she has always believed.
How though, can one be sure that a choice made at an early age or even more recently was a true choice? How can one be sure it was a gift from God and not just wishful thinking? The only certain indication is a visible change of personal interests in one’s life. Do I truly believe in my heart? Has my life visibly changed as a result of that choice? Can you identify a point in time when the center of your outlook and interests shifted very abruptly from the world to God?
This was an experience this writer had about fifty years ago, an experience I remember vividly even though many other memories have faded away. I look forward to a future life, an everlasting life with other true believers in a glorious place called Heaven.
Can you remember a time when your life changed as a result of a new faith that just happened? Did you become a new person with new interests, you too may well be a child of God. Yes, there is a place called Heaven and it is not to be found anywhere in this world. To gain entry to this most glorious place, one must be chosen, chosen by God, and have the Holy Spirit of God residing within.
Did God choose you dear reader? Have you been born again? Will you live forever in Heaven or will you suffer forever in Hell? The power to choose God is in your hands but it must be a total choice. All must be surrendered to Christ with nothing withheld.
What, dear reader, is your choice? Do you choose for Christ or do you have some reservation, something you just can’t let go of, something too precious to give up? Do you truly give all to Christ? This is the question God asks and you must answer, the choice you must make. It is the most important choice of your life. Make it with much care.
Blindness
There are different kinds of blindness, physical, mental, psychological, emotional, etc. Today we see a new form of blindness that has infected America and much of the rest of the world. It is a blindness that has infected many millions of people. It is a consequence of continued exposure to a false reality, one that denies truth and substitutes lies for truth. This is being done today by the huge majority of the popular media in the United States and around the world.
The information and entertainment media are owned and controlled by a very small number of extremely wealthy and extremely evil individuals. They are pursuing a plan to convert this country and with it the entire world into an utterly godless dictatorship, one that they rule over with absolute and unquestioned authority.
Will they be successful in this aggressive endeavor? The only sure way to stop it is through a massive revival of the Christian faith. This however, does not seem likely in the near future. Too many of God’s people have been deceived by a lie that Satan employed over a century ago. Due to a failure to obey God and seriously study His Word for over a century, their general knowledge of scripture has declined precipitously. As a consequence, they were utterly unable to see through Satan’s very obvious lies in the so-called Scofield Bible and fell headlong into his evil trap.
Some of God’s people are beginning to see through some of Satan’s evil lies but many are still waiting for an escape via a rapture event that absolutely will not take place. No, Jesus will not return and there will be no rapture event until after the entire world is converted to Christ. This is the task God has assigned to His people and in which they are now failing. miserably.
One day God’s people will wake up and see that they are on the wrong track. It’s difficult to see today just when that may take place. It will very likely be only after a period of continued decline followed by increasingly severe hardship that enough of God’s people wake up and begin to obey God once again. This is not likely until a true world-wide revival takes place.
Some are beginning to see the light but most of God’s people are still in dreamland waiting for God to rescue them out of the terrible situation they have permitted to take place in today’s world. There is no alternative, no other way out of the sad situation their negligence has brought about.
Yes, you God’s chosen and so very highly blessed people have been deceived, very, very badly deceived by the greatest of all deceivers, Satan himself. You must first wake up yourself and then wake up as many other believers as you can. There are enough true believers here in America today to initiate a world-wide revival. Just a little spark can ignite a huge fire, one that will consume the evil and change the world.
Take the first step now! Be a leader and lead your fellow believers, those that have been blessed with the greatest gift anyone could ever receive, the gift of eternal life in heaven with Christ. He will reward you when He says: “well done good and faithful servant” and welcomes you into His presence with exuberant joy and much love.
Judgment
Many of God’s people have been disobedient for a long time. How long will He wait before His righteous judgment falls upon them? It is now over fifty years that, instead of concentrating on the important work He has assigned them, they have been waiting for His return. They have been misled by a Satan-inspired book that Satan has tricked them with. It is called the Scofield Bible, a true King James Bible but with Satan’s false explanatory notes embedded within.
A significant number of God’s true people have fallen prey to this deception. They did so due to their extreme weakness in the knowledge of God’s Word. Instead of studying His Word in small groups as the early Christians did, they relied on poorer and poorer Sunday sermons and have become spiritually undernourished.
God’s people have been given the task of making this world a Christian world, a world that believes in God and obeys all His commandments. This includes the commandment to teach the nations:
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20)
We have here God’s marching orders directed to all His born-again people. They have been given the incomparable gift of eternal life in heaven but many have failed to obey God’s extremely simple request. All He asks is that they communicate to as many people as they can the fact that this huge gift is available without cost to all that simply ask for it.
Many have asked and received this free gift but many more have refused to ask. How is this possible? How could anyone refuse the greatest gift possible? Actually, to begin with, everyone refused the gift. They all refused because they were all Satan’s captives and totally unable to lift a finger on their own behalf. It was only after those that God chose in eternity past were born again, born of the Spirit and released from Satan’s bondage that any were able to make that simple choice.
Today we see many that may be truly born again but do not obey God’s command to tell everyone they can this simple gospel message. They fail to do so because they have been deceived and believe a lie. They believe the lie that says God changed His mind (an absolute impossibility!) and decided to rapture His people before the entire world has been converted.
They believe this lie because they heard it from their early childhood, from their mother’s knee, one could say. Yes, the deception goes back for over a century to the introduction of the Scofield Bible.
Dear reader, have you been caught in this trap of Satan? If you have, don’t despair; all js not lost. God is a forgiving God and will accept you if you come to Him in true sincerity of heart.
Do so now. Don’t delay any longer.
God and Freedom
America the beautiful, land of the free and home of the brave, where are you? Your freedom is lost and your bravery has faded. How did such a tragedy ever take place? How did evil become so powerful it now rules over you? Is it due to a lack of faith? Did you forget that your strength was in God? Did you abandon God and follow the same path the ancient Israelites followed so often?
There is no other explanation for the virtually total role reversal that has taken place in a mere half century. America, once the land of the free and the home of the brave, is now the land of the captives and the home of the fearful. It has followed the example of its predecessor, Ancient Israel. It has forgotten and abandoned the God that gives freedom and wealth and now suffers the loss of both freedom and wealth.
We often wondered how those ancient people could so quickly forget the God that gave them freedom and prosperity. But here we are doing the same thing ourselves! It is because each generation is born in sin and needs a godly environment in which it can learn how to live a godly life. Sadly, this is typically not done well if at all. The Christian faith has waned each generation for a century or more. The primary reason for this is it’s dependence on the present clergy/laity structure.
A once-a-week sermon is far from sufficient. Actually, just the presence of a full-time local clergy ensures the failure we are now experiencing. It has become an all too convenient substitute for personal and family Bible study at home. The truly godly early church did not have full-time pastors. Preachers, like the Apostle Paul, were not in one place very long. The small family groups of believers the Apostles formed were on their own most of the time. They lived and met together on an informal, almost daily basis to study God’s Word. The Elders among them would lead the formal Lord’s Day worship and also help the others day by day as opportunity permitted. Actually, all were teachers to some extent. Everyone had someone they could teach something.
God places the responsibility for the instruction of children with their parents. Each godly family head is responsible to teach himself and his family. All young children should be taught by their mothers at home and not by strangers in a schoolroom. Older children should be instructed by their parents, girls by their mothers and boys by their fathers. This is the model God instituted and was followed by God-fearing people for centuries. Today, there is much excellent, low-cost material to support family self-education.
Mothers should obey God and be teaching their children at home. They should not be working at outside jobs. God provides when His people obey. The need for two incomes is a consequence of the current presence of women in the labor market. Men’s wages would rise in proportion as women obey God and stay at home. Women with older children can serve God at home by guiding and teaching younger mothers how to fulfill their responsibilities to both God and family.
Because God’s people are not obeying God, the world is in much trouble today. Many have been led astray by a Satan-inspired false theology that says we are now in the end times and God will soon rapture His people out of this world. This is utter nonsense! God does not play games, nor does He ever need to change His mind. His Word is “the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).
Wake up Christian, there is much work to do. God will never settle for less than a world in which every person is a true born-again believer. It is our responsibility to bring this about and we must get busy doing it! It may seem to be an impossible task but with God’s help, there are no impossible tasks. It may not be completed in this generation but God expects His people to obey Him. All we need to do is obey and begin the task He has assigned us. When we do so in true sincerity, He will provide all the support we will need!
Origins
What is the origin of the many forms of life we see in this world? Where did we come from? Some supposedly wise men say we evolved very gradually from the very simplest form of life. One problem with this is that there are no truly simple forms of life. The simplest form of life is not simple. It has all the complexity required to survive and reproduce itself in a hostile world.
The only answer to all the different forms of life we see around us today is the answer the Bible gives us. There is a being that always existed and that created not only this world but all things that exist anywhere and everywhere in the universe. He created the billions of stars, solar systems and all things in them.
God created this world and all things in it. He created man in His image from the dust of the earth. He named him Adam (earth-born) and gave him control over all the world.
This God made Himself known to us, first through a man named Moses, then through His prophets, and finally through His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus, the second person of the Holy Trinity, became a man, was born of a woman, lived a perfect, sinless life and then died for everyone that truly believes in Him. He, the only sinless person that ever lived on earth, died for His own sinful creatures. The innocent One died for the guilty. His sacrifice paid the sin debt in full for all that truly believe in Him.
How many, though, actually believed? The answer is none at all! Not one person that ever lived believed on his own! All, every person that ever lived, rejected the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ! All were so deeply enmeshed in Satan’s tremendous power that they could not even lift a finger or say a word to help themselves. It was only after God sent the Holy Spirit to indwell all those He chose in eternity past that anyone was able to believe in and choose God.
All things, even the faith to believe in God, js not our own. It is the gift of God:

God’s Word is very clear here: even the faith to believe in God’s free salvation is not our own. It is a gift from God! When Adam, our original ancestor sinned, all his descendants sinned in him. As a result, we were all born in sin and are Satan’s captives until God gives us this gift of faith. It is God’s action and not the individual’s own choice that saves.
Dear reader, has God chosen you or do you believe you chose Him on your own? If it’s the latter, if you think you made the decision without God’s help, then your salvation is in question. Did your life change, really change since then? If you can’t see a truly fundamental change of direction at that point, you may be deceiving yourself.
If this uncertainty describes you, don’t despair. Where there is life, there is hope. God always answers a sincere prayer, late though it may be. Don’t delay though; give your life to God now! Don’t wait! There are very few true and sincere death-bed confessions of faith.
A Lost World
What is happening? What has turned the world upside down? What is driving the current panic? It’s not the virus. That is no different from a half-dozen previous viral epidemics that were handled without this ridiculous panic. No, it’s not the virus; it’s something new to this country and to the entire world.
America is experiencing something it has never seen before. It is a political coup led by the world’s super-rich, an attempt to destroy the nation we came to love and enjoy. Even more, it is an attempt to take control of the entire western world. If successful, it will effectively place the control of the world in the hands of three superpowers: Russia, China, and The West.
This extremely wealthy few, through the major corporations they own and control, have very near total control of the popular media most people depend on for their understanding of what’s going on in the world. They employ this huge power to shape the thinking of the supposedly free American people. Their purposes are twofold, personal wealth and continuation of the power they currently enjoy.
The greatest danger they face is a restoration of the Christian faith the people once had. It would very rapidly topple the economic empire they now own and employ to control us. Sadly, this faith is growing weaker rather than stronger. It is beginning to look as if it will not be this generation that rises up to this challenge. Too many have fallen prey to Satan’s lie and believe that God has changed His mind (???) and decided to not wait until the entire world came to the true faith as He promised.
Many of God’s people have been and are still misled by a lie of Satan in the so-called “Scofield Bible”. This is an ordinary King James Bible with Scofield’s/Satan’s notes embedded within the text. These Satanically-inspired notes lead the typical readers far astray of God’s truth. Many are waiting for a rapture event that will not come until the entire world is in the faith.
Why is Satan so powerful today? Why is he able to lead so many of God’s people astray? It is because God’s people have failed to obey God. They have spent most of their otherwise idle time in foolish pursuits instead of in the study of God’s Word. They have relied on Sunday sermons and have not spent any serious time in the study or discussion of God’s Word with fellow believers. God’s Word has not been studied and discussed with friends or family members diligently during the week. Instead, various sorts of worldly entertainments have filled the otherwise idle hours. What does this really mean? It means that God’s Word is not truly in first place in their hearts. They are Sunday morning Christians, if true Christians at all.
Sadly, today’s world is full of Sunday morning Christians that don’t seem to value their faith very highly. They believe they will live forever in Heaven no matter how little they do for God on earth. They feel little or no urgency to truly live for God and do the work God assigned to them. Actually, it was merely asked of them. After freely giving the gift of eternal life, God asks, merely asks His so very highly blessed recipients to pass the Good News on to as many others as possible.
Is this so hard? Or is it that so many supposed believers don’t really believe? Could so many be deceiving themselves and will end up in hell rather than heaven? Where are you, dear Christian? Is your faith true? If it is you should be seriously applying yourself to the God-assigned task of diligently spreading the good news to others.
