Recovery

The world sorely needs a recovery but where can it begin?  So many of God’s people, instead of obeying God and renewing the world,  are following Satan’s lead.  Instead of working to make the world a Christian world, they are leading an exodus to an imaginary rapture event.  They tenaciously hold to a false faith in a soon to come rapture in which they expect to escape from a great evil about to descend on us all.

They expect God to intervene and miraculously take them out of this world and all it’s troubles.  They believe this despite the fact that they were very clearly told that the salvation of the world was their responsibility:

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.  (Matthew 28:19, 20)

.  God’s Word is quite clear at this point.  When all nations have been baptized and taught to obey all God’s commandments, the result is nothing less than a Christian world.  This is what God asks (merely asks!) of all His born-again and so very highly blessed people.  Notice: He first gives the gift of eternal life to all that believe and then asks them to tell the world about it.  He doesn’t ask it as a payment for the free gift He gave.  He first gives us the gift of life and then asks us to spread the good news of this free gift to everyone we can.

This is not salvation by works.  It is a very natural desire of every born-again person to spread the good news of God’s salvation to as many others as possible.  They do so because it is their own heart’s desire as well as His request.

God’s purpose here is very clearly a Christian world, a world to which His Son can return.  He has placed the responsibility for it in the hands of His people alone.  It is not the responsibility of any group or institution.  It is to grow of itself to cover the earth, its entire population.  He is perfect and will never settle for less.

A Christian world!  It is not at all an impossible or even a difficult task.  It could easily be accomplished in a single generation.  All that is needed is a serious effort on the part of God’s people to communicate the message of God’s free salvation to as many as they can.  One person a week would be quite sufficient.

God is perfect in every way and regardless of what we do, He never needs to change His Mind.  Those that say otherwise are sadly mistaken and are Satan’s victims.  He dominates and uses all that are not born of Cod.  Have you been born again?

This is the most important of all questions.  It reaches far beyond the short lives we live in this world and looks to our eternal existence.  Will it be Heaven or Hell?  The best test is to compare ourselves with the Apostles.  How do we compare with John, Peter or Paul?  Is our personal dedication to God’s work even a small fraction of what it should be?

What is your answer?  The future of the world depends on how God’s people answer this question.
